Straight poker rules Going back to the FindWinnerStraight, you maye have noticed a new function you’ve never seen before, called WildsAssumeValues. It accepts two parameters, a hand (an array or Card objects), and an info object. What this function will do is return a new hand, with all the wilds replaced with the values specified in the info.cardValues array.
Straight in poker cards
Poker is a game of skill and art. Generally, if a good player is able to suppress a little disfavor of luck in the long run then in Poker this pays twice. It is due to tactics, knowledge of the game and the opponents, good nerves, determination to get the maximum of the game and psychology. You can have a seemingly unbeatable hand, but if nobody bets you will not win much. Which straight is higher? If the Player decides to play against a Table of Odds only and not against the Dealer, they place a bet on the ‘Aces Up’ betting square only. If the hand contains a pair of aces or better, the Player wins. A Player may take advantage of both betting options by placing an ‘ante wager’ and ‘Aces Up’ bet at the beginning of the game. Once they view their hand, they can either play, by placing a ‘play wager’ equal to or up to three times their ante wager, or fold, forfeiting their ‘ante wager’ and ‘Aces Up’ bet.
