Three Card Poker

This poker game is played with three cards that are dealt both to the player and to the dealer. You're not playing against others, but rather just the dealer or just yourself. Several casinos have a maximum bet per hand capping off at $200 and several starting with as little as a quarter for the low rollers.

This is a very safe game to play and your funds will last a long time because it doesn't have a very high house advantage. If you like betting up and down, this may be your game. Three Card Poker uses a 52 card deck and is a newer game just recently invented in 1994 by a professional poker player from Great Britain.

There are actually two games in one where the player can bet on the ante or pair plus. The basis of the game is placing a bet after you receive 3 cards and venturing that your cards will be higher then the dealer's cards. If you have an Ace or King, calling is your best bet, and this goes as well as a pair, flush, straight, or three of a kind. When you make the pair plus bet, it doesn't matter what the dealer has, but is purely made on the player's hand itself. The better the hand, the higher the payout received.
