Luck in Poker
Luck in online poker, no matter how strong, eventually will run out and the player will then have to rely on his own skills and ability to play the different hands that he will be dealt. Luck is a short-term part of the longer-term equation for levelheaded online poker players.
The shift of luck at an online casino poker table is a regular occurrence and the player that can keep a long-term perspective and maintain his composure and his normal poker game will more often than not end up with all of the chips at the end.
Oftentimes good luck will actually have an adverse affect on some online poker players as they start to get cocky and play looser as they start to fall into a trap of irrational thought in which they believe that luck is on their side. There is no better player to be up against at an online casino poker table than a maniac that is catching a lot of cards and breaks early because he will literally become intoxicated with this roll that he is on and end up nuking himself and his stack of poker chips in short order, particularly against poker players that understand the concept of level headed play and percentages. Remember to know that these maniac poker players who get lucky early will start drawing on hands that should have been mucked.
Luck is definitely a factor in poker and something you want on your side but skill and discipline are just as important in the long run.
